    ORGANIZED CHAOS

    by Snoots Dwagon, SFC18 Mascot

This will be the closing page in my convention series of things to see at Sci-Fi Con 18 (2026)… not because there isn’t more to see, but because this series should be enough to peak curiosity to the point you can visit the rest yourself.

We just today finished setting up a system called FOLLOW da SNOOTS… a series of direction signs designed to help you explore the entire event and miss nothing, without getting lost. We got a number of comments regarding regions that were difficult to follow, contained numerous intersections, and attendees getting totally lost and thus concerned that they were missing out on some fun things. We listened, and set up a series of guideposts that will carry you through the whole convention. So you can see it all for yourself, first hand.

CLUBTOPIA is one of the most unique businesses I’ve seen on SL. This is a fully-loaded, six-barrel shotgun of a club concept. Owned by Akrabu.Kling, CLUBTOPIA is basically a support package that helps club owners attract not just members, but active, purposeful, involved members.

The first thing you should do is visit the LOCATION at Sci-Fi Con and accept the notecard that is offered when you arrive. It’s lengthy but fully explains the concept of the system. Reading that notecard will tell you more than I have space and time to put here.

The best I can do here is to allow Akrabu himself to explain it. Here is an excerpt from the interview I had with him:

Akrabu: Basically, Clubtopia turns a club into a playable experience. People can dance, hang out, host, bartend, perform, or play in the band, and the system rewards them with XP. That XP converts into Linden Dollars, so visitors are earning while they participate.

There are also bonuses, levels, and leaderboards, which gives people a reason to stay active and try different parts of the club. So for players it’s fun and rewarding, and for club owners it helps bring traffic and keep people engaged.

Snoots Dwagon: So they do what… buy a package to set up a club and that includes everything they need?

Akrabu: Yes. A club owner buys or starts with a Clubtopia package, sets it up at their venue, and it gives them the core system to run Clubtopia — the controller, activity modules, XP tracking, rewards, leaderboards, and ATM cash-out for players.

The owner funds their own system, so their club has its own reward pool. Then players earn XP and L$ by participating at that venue. There are different package levels and add-ons depending on how much the owner wants to do.

    FREE Starter System

    • No upfront cost
    • 50% system fee
    • Good for trying Clubtopia and getting started

    L$999 Package

    • 30% system fee
    • Lower fee than free version
    • Better for clubs ready to run Clubtopia regularly

    L$1999 Package

    • 20% system fee
    • Stronger owner value
    • Better payout efficiency for funded clubs

    L$2999 Package

    • 10% system fee
    • Best main package rate
    • Highest owner-side value and lowest system fee

    Band Add-On

    • L$999
    • Adds the band/music activity modules

Snoots: So they build their own club setting and add your modules… or do you provide club settings?
Akrabu: The system is set and comes with the base modules. All they have to do is fund it. The Band is the only current addon. This goes on any build they have as it’s just the controllers and all the individual dance pads that are copiable and they step them up how they like. No building. The club owner builds his own building, yes.
Snoots: Great idea you have here,. Looks very popular.

Akrabu did a great job designing his “club” at Sci-Fi Con. I encourage attendees to drop by and check it out. As he stated, he doesn’t provide buildings, tables, chairs, equipment and the likes. What CLUBTOPIA offers is the system that makes people want to come back and play. It doesn’t take over the club owner’s job; it provides the tools to make that job interesting.

  • PANDA PANDA- Mon June 1

    Article by Snoots Dwagon

PANDA PANDA is an art / music shop owned by Liam Metaluna. Liam is a talented Tiny who plays the Tuba with the well-known Tiny Maniacs rock group. He has also had a shop at many major events I’ve attended, often somehow right next to mine!

Panda Panda is a fascinating shop that combines wondrous animated art with really good music players. Since I make music players myself and can honestly say his are great… you know they’re good.

Panda Panda offers a wide variety of music players, ranging from old gramophones and phonographs to futuristic Droids. They play a variety of music very well. It’s fun to visit his store just to see the incredible diversity of music players and art work there.

The artwork at Panda Panda is impressive of itself. But once you find out that all of the artwork is animated… that changes the ball game. Image the beautiful piece above with full animation. That describes Panda Panda.

You’ve seen these sculptures in real life perhaps– optical illusions that seem determined to challenge your eyes for dominance.

It is the variety and fun of Panda Panda that makes it unique and enjoyable.

    MCM COMBAT OPERATIONS

by Snoots Dwagon, Mascot Sci-Fi Con 18

Mech battle games are interesting to begin with… whether you play or just watch. But FREE MECHS can turn a person into a collector.

When I approached Ender Hanner, co-owner of MCM Combat Operations (founded by Vodka Clarity)… he was cooking burgers over a fire. This is a user after a dwagon’s own heart.

I asked him to tell me about his 20-years-long group and hobby.

Ender Hanner: Well I am one of the two owners of Second Life’s longest running Mech combat game. We are MCM Combat Operations

Snoots Dwagon: I have played your game before. Was fun.

Ender: We have been around since before 2006. We have 5 sim size combat fields with website support for pilot profiles and a perk system for further customizing your gameplay experience. We encourage customization of your mechs to make them feel your own flavor of chaos within boundries if in community play. We host combat events twice a week Wed from 4-6 pm slt and 12:30- 2:30 pm slt

Snoots: So USA and Euro friendly times, How does your system work?

Ender: You wear your mecha as an avatar replacement and then add our meter and bubble then you can boot up anywhere scripts and build is enabled. You have destructable environments in many of our combat fields so its not just players you have to worry about trying to kill you. We have over 200 mechs and weapons available for your destructive enjoyment. ㋡

Snoots: What has kept you going this long?

Ender: Pure unadulterated insanity. ㋡ We have a good community… that is it. Community makes for a target rich environment. 😉

    Anyone for a bug fight?

  • MESH ENTITY: Sat May 30

MESH ENTITY by G BälṳϮ Sσυlтσи

This interesting store contains merchandise. Go figure. But it’s a variety of merchandise, quite a bit of it quite interesting.

For example, REAL SKY DOME- SCI FI PLANETS…

This is a 90 meter dome with fourteen 360-degree suround-scapes. That just sounds to me terrifically neat.

    Or how about…

    … a drop-down Sci-Fi bed? That’s gotta be pretty neat, yesh?

Or maybe you’re more in the mood for a couple of grungy hideouts…

Whatever your taste, this store is worth checking out for some unusual items.

  • A.I. DOLLS: Fri May 29

    by Snoots Dwagon, SFC Mascot

Store: A.I. DOLLS Creator: Lippel Alex

Neon Dystopa <— click here to visit

“These are dolls created by A.I. A lot more are in my mainstore.”

Lippy has been doing this since Jan 2026.

I stumbled across this store when Lippy asked me to check him for “ready status”. I immediately knew this was the first store I would review for this series.

Lippy makes “chibi charactactures” of SL residents using A.I. systems. He takes photos, runs it through a complex A.I. mill (it’s not easy)… and then sells the results for a low, low L$149. This is one of those “really great deals”. He also has a line of dolls that he’s designed and sells outright. (Lippy is considering bringing out a line of full perm custom dolls so you can give them to your friends.)

This is Lippy’s own Chibi Doll.

[8:47:00 AM] Lippy (lippel.alex): my intention was to give ppls a doll from his self, similar look to stay in the TOS. And 149 LD for a doll is cheap — at last is fun — i like to see other ppls be happy with this version. I don’t want to be rich. I want to spread joy. This is all ㋡

I can’t think of a better business philosophy.

    Three of his Dolls.

Lippy is generous in every way. With a low-low price of 149 because he wants to make people happy– add to it that he set out FIVE charity vendors in his store (only ONE was required)… Lippy is an ideal SL merchant. I highly recommend visiting this amazing and very unusual store.

This is one of Lippy’s textures. This is why A.I. is valuable in such projects. Look at the complexity. Instead of taking days or weeks to do such a project, Lippy is able to provide his customers a reasonable-time turn-around. The work is still his; he takes the photos, arranges, runs it through the mill and does the post-processing, mesh-uploading and marketing. All of that takes time and skill.

    some of a.i. dolls work

Lippy is proof that A.I. can properly be used on SL. People talk about A.I. issues and are angry at A.I. and there are A.I. “witch hunts”. But face it… A.I. is here to stay. I’m not going to trade my laser printer for a typewriter. Not going to trade my calculator for an abacus. A.I. is another computerized tool to make production faster and easier. Lippy uses A.I. openly (that’s the name of his store) and properly. This is a terrific shop. Give it a look. Snoots rating: 10 out of 10.

P.S. While I was there he offered to do a Snoots model. I can hardly wait… and plan to bring him my future business.

    A.I. DOLLS STORE

I hope you have a chance to visit A.I. DOLLS and perhaps have a chat with Lippy. Have your own A.I. Doll created. And I hope you enjoy this wonderful establishment as much as I did. 8D

  • Sci-Fi Con 18: Snoots’ Choices

by Snoots Dwagon. Full article list at end of this page.

As Sci Fi Con Mascot I have been asked to pick one or three great merchants to tell you about each day. But there is one tiny rule: I not can tell you about my store**… I guess because staff knows it just too awesomesauce. They calls it a “conflict of interest,” but I call it a missed opportunity for awesome loot!

And I sure can’t give you da SLURLs at… urg… erk… (several minutes later). Okay, I haz been informed my blog page will be watched like a dragon watches sheeps… so I has to behave now.**

EVERY DAY of Sci Fi Con 18, I will be writing a new page featuring one or more merchants. Of course, you will want to visit every merchant on every region because that’s just a major part of the fun! But these merchants caught my personal eye. I choose these booths because they’re unusual, well-presented, easy to shop and fun. I also choose for theme (SCI-FI Con) but sometimes an exceptional non-theme merchant just might get chosen for craftsmanship.

YOU CAN HELP ME by telling me what kind of stuff you’re looking for. Of course, it not would be right to mention your own store***… but if you’re a shopper and looking for specific items, I can keep my dwagony eye out for such things, or may already know where they are.

Why did they choose me for this job? Because I a dwagon and we know ALL da bestest stuff. They knows dwagons are totally trustworthy. What they didn’t count on of course is that dwagons can be bribed… but too late to think of that now!

HAVE FUN exploring Sci Fi Con. Be sure to take part in THE HUNT. Be sure to watch GROUP NOTICES for fun last-minute additions. ENJOYS! 8D

**They told me I can’t include my store during the convention. They didn’t say a thing about writing a pre-convention page mentioning DragonForge at Neon Dystopia or in the huge Firefly ship at Questionable Landing Port, so I totally obeying da rules, right? So you can swing by and grab loot and freebies the second the convention gates open and the chaos begins. I won’t say DragonForge is the place to start, but DragonForge sure has a lot of fun items. Starting with my next post however, other creators will shine. 8D Mwahahahahaaaa…

*** You should not mention your own store in comments unlessyoucangetawaywithitlikeIdo. I mean, if your store name and region just happens to slip into the conversation of your comment, that’s only natural because you proud of you store, right? But let’s avoid it #unlessyoujustcan’thelpyourself.
